Students studying education at Carthage have many opportunities to enrich their education.
Carthage College Community Literacy Center
The Carthage Community Literacy Center allows students to work with families in the Kenosha community to advance education through literacy programs and activities. The center offers a variety of literacy-related programming opportunities to elementary and middle school students, and to young families.
Carthage education students can get involved in a number of student organizations dedicated to putting what’s learned in the classroom into practice. Join ACES, Pi Lambda Theta, and more!
Carthage also offers graduate degrees, including a Master of Education program (with several areas of concentration) and a Master of Music in music theatre vocal pedagogy. Existing teachers can pursue add-on licenses in areas such as reading and English as a second language (ESL).
J-Term
J-Term is a month-long period of study in January in which all academic departments at Carthage offer innovative courses on campus, as well as study tours around the world.
